Another piece by Emiliano Ponzi but the only reason I posted this one is because POLAR BEAR, that's why.

For our in-design project book, I have decided to research Emiliano Ponzi. He was born December 30, 1978 (same birthday as me for those who care to know except i was born 14 years later..) and he's Italian! He has a lot of interesting work and has worked for some really big names for how young he is. I thought this piece by Ponzi fit today's sort of gloomy weather but it goes to show that the weather doesn't have to affect your attitude!

My most favorite possession is my iPod. So when we were given the task to create a vessel for an item or belonging that had importance to us I immediately knew what object my vessel would house. The top image shows the box with the iPod in it. The box was designed so the iPod could charge and play music while hiding within. The lid has a square and circle set on top to resemble the iPod. The wooden box even has a darker top to reflect the black face of the iPod. The bottom image shows the inside of the vessel without the object. On the floor of the box is an Apple logo that acts as a pedestal for my iPod. The apple inside is my favorite feature of the vessel and I'm happy with the way the project turned out.
This drawing was inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Although Alice's adventures never mentioned a crashed rocketship I feel this piece does reflect a lot of "whimsical" details that resemble something seen after falling through a rabbit hole. I was assigned to draw the cardboard chair (from the post below) in an environment. Our only rules were to make it on a piece of paper bigger than 8.5"x11" and to include an elephant.
Starting anew
Alright, so it has been awhile since I've posted on here but I'd really like to try to get into the concept of blogging and sharing my thoughts, ideas, and work with the world so here goes nothing!
